Linda Rolland

Graduating in 2018 in Fine Art from Staffordshire University, Linda returned full time to her art practice in 2011 after her teaching career. Linda has a particular interest in ‘place’, which reflects her attachment to the Peak District and particularly the Staffordshire Moorlands but includes other places with a particular resonance. These places all tend to have traces of past times, of human activity, historical, industrial and cultural. Much of her work evolved to form an enquiry about places and memories. Linda works in a wide variety of media including paint, pastel, collage, print, encaustic, photography and digital collage. More recently Linda has been working with installation and video as the means to explore Contemporary themes and ideas.

Chair of Buxton Art Trail, and a Community Links Coordinator for the Buxton Festival Fringe, Linda takes an active role in promoting art in the local community.  Linda exhibits as a member of the High Peak Artists group in Pavilion Gardens, Buxton.
